You’re 10 years old, you’re reaching an age where you’re starting to notice the world around you, interact with it outside of the oversight of adult family members and formulate rules based on your experiences. There is much you need to know and much you need to learn, but much of what I have to tell you may not make sense to you right now.

It is my hope that by writing this down instead, one day I can share this blog with you. That your mind and spirit will be ready to accept the wisdom of someone older, who grew up in the same family, who has gone out into the world to try to make a success of himself, and has made many mistakes that you can avoid.

You have not had the greatest start in life. In fact it might be fair to say that you’ve begun life at a disadvantage. If anything, your uncle hopes he that he can give you the much needed step up that he and your dad didn’t have.
